16.-17.9.2023 IN RAASEPORI FINLAND
The organizers OK Raseborg and Österby SK, warmly invites and welcomes participant’s to Raasepori, Finland to the Finnish biathlon orienteering championship as well as the seventh and eight rounds of the 2023 World Cup. The competitions will take place in Ekenäs/Tammisaari, Raseborg/Raasepori, on 16th–17th September 2022.
Raasepori is located in the southern most parts of Finland, approximately one hour from Helsinki and Turku. The event centre will be located at Västerby sport stadion, 4 km from Ekenäs/Tammisaari.The adress is Västerbyntie 28, 10660 Tammisaari. The parking will be done in the vicinity of the event centre.
The terrain itself has earlier been used in several national and international orienteering events.
Preliminary programme
Saturday 16.9.2023 Classic distance
- Adjustment shooting at 10.30.
- First start at 12.00
- There will be a starting interval of two minutes between every participant in every class.
- Classes: World cup M/W 21, others M/W 14, 16, 18, 20, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80.
- Competition sequence: Location orienteering – orienteering – shooting – finish.
Sunday 17.9.2023 Sprint distance
- Adjustment shooting at 09.00.
- First start at 10.30
- Classes: World cup M/W 21, others M/W 14, 16, 18, 40, 50, 60
- There will be a starting interval of two minutes between every participant in every class.
- Competition sequence: Orienteering – prone shooting – orienteering – standing shooting – finish.
Competition rules: All competition according to IBOF international rules with some specifications.
Control system: EMIT
Weapon & ammunition: .22 long rifle (calibre 5,6x15R). All participant brings their own weapon and
ammunition.
Insurance: Competitors participate at their own risk. Insurance against accidents on health or equipment is the responsibility of the competitors, according to national regulations.
Registration / Entries / Payments
Registration to the event done by sending a email to forsell.p.daniel@gmail.com. The entry shall be received prior to the 10th of September 2023. The registration has to include the following:
- Name of the competitor
- EMIT number or a need to rent one (a fee of 6 euro needs to be added to the payments)
- Class
- Day(s) of participation
- Year of birth
The payments for the competitions shall be credited to the organizer’s account not later than 09:th of September 2023. The payments are:
- Classic distance 27€/competitor
- Sprint distance 25€/competitor

The payment message has to include which competitors it covers and which days they are running.
