The 6. August of 2026 was dedicated to weapon control and shooting training. In the afternoon were chances to train orienteering in a separate area approximately 8 kilometers away from the Borås Skidstadium.
The festive opening was held in the late afternoon in the shooting area. After a funny speech of the event speaker Linus Hall, the Deputy Chair of the Leisure and Public Health Committee gave a warm welcome to all athletes and declared the WBOC as opened.
IBOF Chairman Hans Mandahl expressed his satisfactioon, that the event is constantly growing. Almost 200 athletes from 9 countries are attendig the 2026 WBOC.
